Dr Namrata Nayar is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and Consultant Medical Oncologist at Gosford Private Hospital. She is also a Staff Specialist Medical Oncologist at Calvary Mater Newcastle.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from India and completed her Advanced Training in Medical Oncology at the North Coast Cancer Institute and Central Coast Cancer Centre, Gosford Hospital.
Dr Namrata is a Conjoint fellow and member of the Bachelor in Medicine (BMED) – Joint Medical Program (JMP) assessment committee and Oncology coordinator for MEDI5016 course for BMED – JMP at the University of Newcastle, providing support, supervision and mentorship to year 5 medical students.
Dr Nayar has a strong interest in Clinical Research having completed a Masters in Clinical Epidemiology (MAMCE-03) at the University of Sydney. She was appointed at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, University of Sydney, where she was the Research Fellow for the Australia and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Cancer Trials Group (ANZUP).
